About Me
I have fifteen years teaching experience, from Reception to Year 6, most recently as Head of Maths at a prestigious Independent Girls school in Berkshire. Prior to that, I have taught in a State school (Key Stage Leader), a British International School (Head of Maths) and a leading Independent Boys school in Buckinghamshire.
Since becoming a mother to two young children, I have decided to focus on individual tuition rather than returning to the classroom at this time.

Through ongoing assessments, I will monitor progress and give regular feedback to parents. With my approachable style and accessible methods of teaching, I know that I can help your child to attain their goals.
How confident is your child?
Wellbeing and self-confidence are vital to enable children to develop to their full potential. I can help your child to feel more self-assured in the classroom and willing to put their hand up to answer questions. The benefit of individual tuition enables me to really get to know your child’s strength and personal learning styles, so that they achieve their full potential. I believe that my role is to complement learning at school and I am happy to adapt my lessons to link to their current topic in class.

Is your child motivated to learn?
By planning inspiring lessons, I aim to motivate all learners. I use a multi-sensory approach to ensure that students are engaged with their learning, such as including illustrations and diagrams. By providing online lessons, I have access to a wealth of resources which can be easily accessed. Self-reflection and metacognition are developed so that learners understand their own thought process and can develop their independent learning skills.

I am extremely passionate about the work that I do and have a real enthusiasm for teaching. I love it when I am teaching a child and suddenly ‘the penny drops’ and they understand a new concept. My experience includes tutoring a wide range of students, from a boy in Reception with Dyslexia, develping his reading and writing, to supporting students with entrance exams to leading Independent schools.
